Happy Thanksgiving friends and family, from the Crawfords

This beautiful Fall scenery draws to mind the Fall of 1998. That Thanksgiving of 9 years ago was a very special one for me, one that I'll always remember. It was the first Thanksgiving I shared with Kirk, and my precious family (though we were only dating at the time). I'm so glad he was able to partake in that memory with me, at the Spahn's Home with lumpy mashed potatoes and all! Sweet, cherished, Memories.
Fall Excursion

We went for a walk the other day, it was just so beautiful out and the weather was fairly warm. The girls loved it, and of course I had to be snapping pictures the whole time :)
Julia actually somewhat cooperated for me, by sitting on this pile of firewood. Sweet girl. It's so great that we can have such a fun adventure right outside our backyard. It kind of reminds me of the wonderful times we had in Hatfield when we had a lot of fun roaming land to play on.
Kelly and Liel were fairly cooperative for this shot too.
Liel mostly road in the stroller, but Kelly was thoughtful and gave her several pretty leaves, which inevitably ended up in her mouth. ha!
Happy 2nd Birthday Kelly Joannah!

Here Kelly is after just getting her happy birthday-good morning- balloon dump! It took her a few seconds to smile. At first she just looked at us like, huh? I have a picture of it, but thought this was much cuter.
Birthday Carrot Cake (which Julia tells us is what her wedding cake will be when she gets married to daddy :)

Poppy bringing Kelly a pretty helium balloon (Burd's and their balloons on b-days, it's a tradition!)
Grammy helping Kelly with her pretty new barbie.
Daddy and Kelly checking out the new purse set (fake nailpolish, eye shadow, make-up brushes and blow dryer with real noise)

Liel enjoying Kelly's new toys!
Kelly, Happy day after your b-day. Here she is enjoying some of her new toys, in her very pink bedroom. What a girly-girl.

Dr. Julia, Playing Dentist with Daddy (what a good sport!)
Cutie Pies in same shirt. Thanks Grammy, I love having my girls dressed similarly.

Our trip to the Maryland Zoo. We had great weather and a lot of fun (but we missed our Daddy)

I wonder if Kelly thought she was suppose to climb out the whole or something :)
Julia was happy to pretend she was a turtle, but wanted to see some live ones.
Kelly enjoyed being spun in this pretend turtle shell. I think she could have stayed her for quite a while.
Go figure, we are at the zoo with neat animals and the girls want to climb on the hay.
Oh yes, Mommy sacrificed and road on a ride that made her head spin and stomach flop (we did this wisely before lunch)
Yes, Liel went to the Zoo with us. She definitely proved to be a Crawford Baby today as she stayed awake from 7:30 am until 1:15 pm (and only took a 15 minute cat nap). yeah, I think she enjoyed the Zoo too.
Julia immediately knew this was a crocodile. She really liked it, but was more interested in the swimming "vern-turtles" that were in the tank too.
Kelly played some peek-a-boo with Liel to help her cope with being stuck in the stroller.
All in All it was a very fun day at the Maryland Zoo.
More Fall Fun at Chapel Hill Farm

Daddy taught the girls how to throw hay (we miss you daddy)
They both loved throwing the hay on the hayride!
Julia and Kelly enjoyed throwing more hay at the DPC Harvest Fest
Our 3rd Annual Pumpkin Carving.
and it's a winner of a pumpkin, or "jack-o-lantern-mo" as Julia calls it.
